Zea mays convar. saccharata
Rather low-growing variety with green-bluish grains and sweet-aromatic cobs.
The variety only needs a small amount of space and can also be cultivated in a pot. The dark grains are an interesting change on the plate and can be eaten fresh, boiled or grilled.
